Area Recitals

Fall 2008: The GSU Piano Area celebrates the life and work of French composer Claude Debussy in an area recital of his piano works. Debussy’s works are colorful and expressive and reveal him to have been a true master at piano composition. The concert will take place on Thursday, October 30, at 7:30 PM, and will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church.

Spring 2009: That uniquely American music that has come to be known as Ragtime will be the theme of the second area recital of this season, held on Wednesday, April 29, at 7:30 PM in the Carol A. Carter Recital Hall. The program will include pieces by William Bolcom, George Gershwin, Scott Joplin, and more.
